Tatkarma yanna bandhay sa vidya ya vimuktaye. Aayasayaparam karma vidanya shilpanaipunam. – Shri Vishnupuran That is, the one which does not create bondage is Karma, the one which paves the way for liberation is Vidya. The rest of the work is hard work and other knowledge is just art skills. Indian sages and mystics have called knowledge (vidya) as the means of man’s salvation. Man has been yearning for freedom from fear, hunger, disorder, evil tendencies, misconduct, weakness, humility and inferiority, disease, grief etc. since eternity. The above Mahavakya of Sri Vishnu Purana gives the same message that man should make efforts to get freedom from all his troubles through knowledge. Learning is successful through sacrifice and penance, hence attainment of knowledge is always laborious. Let us all try our best to acquire knowledge by being disciplined and with dedication, using all available resources in a dignified manner. By including proper diet, exercise and thoughts in your daily routine, make the infinite possibilities given by nature as a person flourish and blossom in the light of the sacred energy of knowledge. We all recite this sutra from Taitriya Upanishad of Krishna Yajurveda every day in the morning prayer meeting in our schools:- oṃ saha nāvavatu। saha nau bhunaktu। saha vīryaṃ karavāvahai। tejasvināvadhītamastu mā vidviṣāvahai॥ oṃ śāṃti, śāṃti, śāṃtiḥ Come, let us understand the great message hidden in this sutra and assimilate it in our life and do our daily work. I send my heartiest greetings to all the principals, teachers, students, officers and personnel of Gurugram division and wish them a successful and happy future. Varun Mitra Deputy Commissioner

“Education is kindling of a flame, not filling a vessel.” Today’s word is the time of tectonic shift from rote learning to experiential learning and skill development. We need to develop 21st century skills among our children to enable them to perform at Global level. We should ensure to give wings to our children not only to fly high in the sky but to create their own skies. NEP 2020 has changed the very landscape of education by incorporating FLN , NIPUN BHARAT, VIDYA PRAVASH TOY BASED pedagogy and by changing the very structure of education from 10+2 to 5+3+3+4. A child requires to be nurtured at physical, mental, social, cultural and spiritual level. It becomes our moral and religious responsibility to cater the changing needs of our learners. I would like to appeal to all my teachers to create the learning atmosphere in their respective class rooms which must nurture the innate talent of our children and ensure their holistic development. As a pedagogical leader, I assure you all to create learning environment in the Vidyalaya and to provide equal opportunities to all the stake holders to grow professionally. Teachers should work with harmony and cooperation and spread positive vibes among their students by working in great synergy with their colleagues. I am glad to have highly intellectual teachers who work relentlessly to achieve the desirable goals of education. The unfortunate COVID era has transformed the very process of teaching and learning. Every day new challenges are there, they are there to make us more capable and innovative. Every challenge motivates us to toil harder and reach to the higher pedestal of success. It is known to all that the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a pace setter organization in providing quality education to all the students without any discrimination. I am confident that under the able guidance of our patrons and with the combined efforts of teachers, we will definitely evolve everyday to a better version of our own self and reach to the pinnacle of success. I am sure that my team of Kendriya Vidyalaya Subathu will leave no stone unturned to channelize the energy of our young boys and girls in positive and constructive direction so that they can be the contributing citizens of this nation. Mrs. Asha Chaudhari
